Travel… As I See It

We are Mardi and Michael Linke, Australians from Canberra who love to travel the world in comfort and style. Michael is vision impaired, so "As I See It" has long been our calling card — a quirky, honest way of inviting you along to experience our travels, as we see them. From ultra-luxury cruise lines to mass-market family ships, from inside cabins to owner's suites, and from economy to first class, we've experienced it all and love sharing how we do it.

We've been blogging our travels since 1997, and this site is the home of that whole journey, from early trips to New Delhi and London, through many happy years in New York, to more recent adventures across Asia, the Pacific, Europe, Africa and beyond.

The stories here are told prose-first, so the words stand on their own, with photos alongside to bring each day to life. We hope they inform, entertain, and inspire your own travels.
